Over the year Middle School students participate in focused blocks of study in Textiles, Indonesian and Conservation and Environmental Studies.

At Sattler students begin their Indonesian studies in Primary school, and have a pathway through the Middle School to continue their studies. In Indonesian students learn about language, culture and food, studying different topics and units of work.

In Conservation students drive to the Territory Wildlife Park on the school bus and work in the nursery and park, assisting with the maintenance of enclosures and creating educational displays. This has been an ongoing partnership for five years, and is very valuable to both our school and the Park.

In Textiles students have been working to consolidate skills which they have been developing over the past two years in hand and machine sewing. Each year has a different focus either on the Cotton Industry or Wool Industry in Australia, involving a design project focusing on marketing and product development.
